The lamoille ruby mountains heli experience is one of the only heli skiing operations in the nation. Over 15 years i ve had the good fortune to share the experience of skiing the rubies with each of my children my close friends and even big groups of colleagues. While i would hardly characterize my experience in the rubies via lamoille canyon as uncrowded campground and trailhead parking lot was packed trails very busy the scenery was nearly equal to many national parks yet without the congestion and hubub that so many of them have the hiking here is excellent and i hope to return someday for some overnight backpacking. Apart from lamoille canyon home to the world famous terminal cancer couloir getting deep within the range on foot is problematic.
